Description

The Wolverhampton Ring is a 27 mile route around Wolverhampton taking in some of the towpaths, tracks, footpaths and old railways which are in and around the West Midlands town. Inspired by similar ring routes like the Capital Ring in London, it links to the City of Wolverhampton by public transport. The walk begins at Westcroft (Northycote Farm Car Park) and goes around the city via Mill Farm, Wood End, Wednesfield, Wyrley and Essington Canal, Neachells Industrial Park, Moseley Village, Monmore Green, Priestfield, Freezeland, Lanesfield, Spring Vale, Deepfields, Upper Ettingshall, The Coppice, Sedgley, Ettingshall Park, Park Hill, Penwood Farm, Stourbridge Road, Bearnett Lane, Orton Hill, Orchard Hill, Blazebank, Lower Penn, Merry Hill, Castlecroft, Wightwick Bridge, Compton, Smestow Valley Nature Reserve, Newbridge, Stockwell End, Palmers Cross, Pendeford, Marsh Lane Bridge, Fordhouses and Bushbury Hill.

There aren't too many FKT's around Birmingham area, so this is a good one to add to the West Midlands!
