Description

The trek along the Mammoth Crest - Duck Pass route offers stunning views of the Ritter Range, Middle Fork of the San Joaquin River Canyon, Duck Lake and the Silver Divide. Along the way the trail enters into the John Muir Wilderness and passes by Deer Lakes, drops down to Duck Lake which is tucked in a huge cirque of jagged 11,000-ft. peaks and ridges, and descends the Mammoth Creek valley, studded with glistening lakes and lined with rugged peaks and ridges. A portion of the route between Deer Lakes and Duck Pass travels along a use trail which can be difficult to follow at times and requires a climb up the steep talus slope to the saddle adding to the adventure along this route.

The FKT route is TH-TH.  If you close the loop by running along the roads, please just report your TH-TH time.
