Sidmouth and Salcombe Regis Circular (United Kingdom)

Description

This route starts and finishes in the town of Sidmouth, at the junction of York Street with East Street. A beautiful and scenic journey on the south west coast, with some extreme hills along the way and too many stiles, steps and gates to even estimate. This is not a gentle run and the first couple of miles are tough. You will follow the coast as far as Weston Plats, passing the shipwrecked Napoli as you go, before heading in land and through a donkey sanctuary. You will then negotiate some farmland, passing back through Salcombe Regis where some more hills await.

Description

Stretching from Wareham to Sturminster Marshall, the Wareham Forest Way route travels through some of the less well known landscapes of north Purbeck and East Dorset.

Beautiful views, shady glades, an Iron Age hill fort and lots of wildlife make this a memorable route. You can start at either end of the route as it is signposted in both directions.
