Chess Valley Walk (United Kingdom)
The Chess Valley Walk starts from Rickmansworth where the River Chess has its confluence with the River Colne.
The route can be followed in either direction and is clearly waymarked. Most of the route is on public footpaths but there are short sections on roads.
Along the way there are historic buildings and estates, water meadows, ancient field systems and nature reserves. In common with many Chiltern streams, the Chess is a chalk stream fed by water stored in chalk aquifers.

Ruby Jack Trail (MO)
The Ruby Jack Trail is a beautiful rails to trails course on the Ozark Plateau in Southwest Missouri. The 16 mile trail runs through the small towns of Carthage, Oronogo, and Carl Junction, Missouri to the Kansas state line. The trail is mostly tree lined, running through oak, maple, and cedar making the trail particularly beautiful in the fall. In summer, much of the trail forms a green tunnel providing shade and windbreak. Spring and summer wildflowers are abundant and the smell of honeysuckle is common. The area gets little snow, so the trail remains passable throughout the winter.
