The Gatineau Park Perimeter Loop covers the complete eastern half of the Park located just outside Canada's capital, Ottawa. The route covers the southern escarpment section of the Park, with its numerous great vistas of the city and Ottawa River, along with numerous beautiful lakes in the northern interior of the Park. It utilizes a wide variety of single and double track ski, snowshoe, mtb and hiking trails.
Starting from East Bank Trailhead kiosk (in the parking lot) on highway 20, take the East Bank Trail to the Desolation Peak Trail, tag the lookout tower that Jack Kerouac writes about in Dharma Bums, return the way you came.

Der Granitpilgern-Wanderweg führt in drei bis vier Tagesetappen auf einer Gesamtlänge von rund 95 Kilometern durch die südöstliche Region des Bezirkes Rohrbach. 10 Gemeinden von St. Martin bis Helfenberg sind durch den Weg verbunden. Die Beschilderung verläuft im Uhrzeigersinn. Start ist in St. Martin beim Granitpilgern-Monument, der Einstieg ist grundsätzlich überall entlang des Rundweges möglich.
