Traversata integrale delle creste Valchiusellesi (Italy)

Submitted by AndreaBiffi93 on Sat, 07/12/2025 - 01:33am
Description

A very long ridge traverse that follows the entire alpine arc of the Valchiusella mountains.
The route should be completed by faithfully following the ridgeline, across extremely technical and exposed terrain, with several dangerous sections. In various critical points, there are fixed cords in place for abseiling.

By staying strictly on the ridgeline, one encounters climbing passages up to grade IV+/V.
The starting point is in front of the church in the main square of Brosso, and the endpoint is at the trattoria L’mulin in Inverso.

Description

Jack Levitt and I linked up all of the (31 ranked, plus some unranked) 11,000+ ft peaks in the Wasatch mountains via feet and bikes.

Our total moving time was 51 hours and 26 minutes and we did it in an 85 hour and 18 minute window. Not really claiming this as an fkt since we are the only people who have done this route but maybe later.

We used the bikes to get from Aspen Grove to the top of squaw peak road for the Provos, and then from the top of squaw peak road up nebo scenic byway to north peak TH, the rest was running.
