Description

The start is on top of the wooden bridge in the town of Jezersko. The first leg is the classic route to 'Češka koča na Spodnjih Ravneh'. After this section is the via ferrata to Grintovec. There are first part more technique to the mountain pass and after the second one mixed climbing and ferrata. Some parts are exposed, but these areas are not difficult. The same route is used for the descent and it is quite complicated and dangerous to arrive back at the Refuge. After the refuge, the trail is faster and it's possible to push faster to the bridge.

Description

This is a 44 mile loop (since at least 2015, apparently used to be longer, maybe 51 miles?) right in the centre of Ireland. The Slieve Bloom Mountains rise out of the flat plains of the midlands. The mountains provide opportunities for hiking , running and mountain biking. There are a network of trails which link to form the loop , there are five different trail heads from which to start which also serve as ideal places for meeting support crew.

It lends itself to both supported and unsupported FKT attempts.
