Livingstone Range Traverse (AB, Canada)

Description

True ridge run from the Gap on Maycroft Road along the Livingstone Range through to HWY 3 on the south end. Highway to highway, maintaining true ridge top of the ridge all the way.  The ridge line continues nearly to Highway 3, and this seems to be the logical ending point.  (Note that Joanna & Arielle ended at the Frank Slide Interpretive Center, which is about 4km shorter overall distance, but we suggest that future FKTs should end at the highway.)

Description

Copper Ridge Loop is a 30-ish-mile lollipop loop in the North Cascades.

Experience the variety offered by the North Cascades: high mountain ridges with spectacular views, a remote river valley, and even a self-propelled cable car river crossing.

Start out from the popular Hannegan Pass trailhead, climbing gently for 3.7 miles to a junction for Hannegan Camp. Water is available from a creek just outside of camp, a short distance from the trail.
