Capitol Peak and Snowmass Mtn are 14ers in the Elk Mountains. They are each individually long climbs, and though they are not that far apart, they are seldom climbed together.
Emigrant Peak (10,921') is a nice summit in the Paradise Valley, north of Yellowstone. The Northwest Ridge from the Gold Prize TH is a popular route.
These three 14ers are in Chicago Basin, deep in the Weminuche Wilderness. They are usually climbed by taking the Durango & Silverton Railway to Needleton, then backpacking into Chicago Basin. They can also be accessed purely on foot from Purgatory, which adds about 12 miles of trail each way, for a 42-mile outing with 12,000' of elevation gain.
