Description

This is the old croton aqueduct trail, which follows the old croton aqueduct from Croton Reservoir, NY south to finish at 42nd and 5th Ave, behind the NY Library (At Bryant Park). The trail follows the route of the actual aqueduct, which originally was the only supply of freshwater to the manhattan area. It is maintained by the Friends of Old Croton Aqueduct. For a Nashvillian Warner Parks (Percy and Edwin) are our Chautauqua Park. There are three loops and a connector trail that when linked together equal 11.2 miles. The Mossy Ridge Trail or Red Trail is 4.2 miles. The Warner Woods Trail or White Trail is 2.2 miles. The Cane Connector affectionately known as the Candy Cane Connector is one mile and links Percy to Edwin Warner park. The Harpeth Woods Trail or Blue Trail is 2.5 miles.
