Whiteface & Esther (NY)
Whiteface is a mighty mountain, (5th highest in NY, at 4638 ft.), and perhaps the most unique of the 46 high peaks in New York, because it is so accessible. It offers many ways to summit it’s crowded and overpopulated peak. There are two different routes to hike up, or you can simply drive your car up the Whiteface Memorial Highway, which snakes its’ way up the Northeastern slope. It is almost all by itself, a lonely peak separated by the rest of the 46 peaks, with a world-famous ski resort on its’ eastern side.

Grey Owl Trail (SK, Canada)
24 miles in total. You run out to Grey Owl’s cabin and then turn around and run back to the start. The trail is full of rocks and roots and lots of ups and downs, which make for some tricky technical running most of the way.

Norris - Scenic Death March Loop (MT)
The Norris - Scenic Death March Traverse (aka Chuck Norris's Scenic Death March) is a loop adventure in Glacier National Park connecting the Norris and Scenic Death March traverses, starting and finishing at the Saint Mary Falls trailhead. It is an exceptional combination of trail running and off-trail scrambling through Glacier's inspiring scenery. With careful routefinding the route goes at no more difficult than class 3. It has some fairly irredeemable sections of chossy rock that make for difficult sidehilling or descent, but overall the highs of the route far outweigh these lows.
