The Denis Rankin Round is a circuit of all the peaks in the Mourne mountains over 400m in height, covering 90km and 6500m in ascent. The challenge is to complete this within a 24 hour period.

Cove to Cove begins in Porteau Cove Provincial Park and ends in Deep Cove, North Vancouver. The route starts on the beach in Porteau Cove and follows the Sea to Sky highway for roughly 2km to the Howe Sound Crest Trail. Route then follows the Howe Sound Crest Trail to Cypress Bowl and connects to the Baden Powell trail. Follow the Baden Powell to Deep Cove where the route ends on the beach in Panorama Park. Bonus points for dipping in the water on each end.

The Sendero Sulayr is the longest circular footpath in Spain. It passes through pine forests, mountain villages, pastures, and meadows for more than 300 km. The community of Guejar Sierra, accessible by bus from Granada, provides an access point to the trail. Several shorter routes intersect the main route and lead to summits or other towns. Mountain shelters provide protection in some areas, but hikers should also plan to spend nights in rustic campgrounds. The Mediterranean Sea is visible from the southern slopes, and from the northern peaks, the countryside extends to the horizon.
