Description

A circular route (29 miles) winding its way across the hills encircling the unique and often spectacular scenery of the Rhymney Valley. The walk follows quiet countryside paths and lanes, where steep beech woodlands merge into panoramic mountain tops. Mynydd Machen is the highest point. It links with the Taff-Ely Ridgeway Walk at Caerphilly Common, and in the east is partly coincident with the Sirhowy Valley Walk. See Caerphilly CBC Trails website below for leaflet download.
