Description

Mount Hood is the tallest mountain in Oregon and one of the most climbed Cascade volcanoes. It stands at 11,250ft. It is a relatively easy climb/hike for the first 4,000 vertical feet, with the last approximately 1,000ft being technical snow climbing.

Wind River Range Traverse (WY)

Description

This Route is for mostly on-trail traverses between Green River Lakes and Big Sandy.  Largely off-trail trips are described under the Wind River High Route.

There does not seem to be an established standard for the route.  Generally the end points have been Green River Lakes and Big Sandy, and people use a combination of the Highline & Fremont Trails.  Here we archive some discussion from our old website:

Description

The Kokopelli Trail is a wonderful route that goes from Loma, in western Colorado, to Moab, Utah, through spectacular and varied desert landscape. The best estimate of its length (from knowledgeable mountain bikers) is 141 miles. The route is mostly jeep and OHV tracks, with some single track and some paved roads.

"You would think more people would do the Kokopelli, a really nice runnable well defined and well known track." - Paul Pomerory
