Route starts before the Front Royal Fee Station (at the Shenandoah National Park sign) on Skyline Drive going south. Stick to Skyline Drive the entire time until arrival at the Rockfish Gap Fee Station near the North Carolina border and start of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Turn around and head northbound all the way back to the start.
This route is the main Paiute ATV Trail loop as marked in the National Geographic map starting and finishing at Fremont Indian State Park and Museum.
