Argine degli Angeli - run between sky and sea (Italy)

Submitted by Raffaele Guzzon on Fri, 06/09/2023 - 02:54am
Description

The Valli di Comacchio are a vast protected wetland located in Emilia-Romagna, between the provinces of Ravenna and Ferrara, south of the Po Delta and north of the Romagna Riviera, constituting one of the largest wetlands in Italy. The route goes around the Valli, on paths or local roads with little traffic. Many segments are inserted in natural oases. Do not miss the 6 km of the Argine degli Angeli, a path drawn in the middle of the water on a narrow embankment of great charm.

Description

The path takes you through forest, over marshes and along a number of idyllic waters and ponds. The Totenåsen path also takes you over peaks with magnificent views and to the wide villages in Totenvika, and if you're lucky you'll catch a glimpse of the steamship Skibladner on Mjøsa. The Totenåsstien is a walk through one of Eastern Norway's large forests between Lygnasæter in the west and Mjøsa in the east.
