Description

Welcome to The Cohos Trail …

170 miles of wilderness hiking from southern Crawford Notch in the White Mountain National Forest through the Great North Woods to the Canadian border at far-flung Pittsburg, NH. Hearty souls can then continue on Sentier Frontalier’s trails to Mount Megantic or Mount Gosford in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada. This network is the only international trail system in New Hampshire and the second international pathway in the East. There are many day hike opportunities along the full length of the Cohos Trail and a great deal of remote territory to explore where you may meet more moose than human beings.

Recently the trail has been updated between Lake Francis and Little Diamond Pond. The gpx map has been updated accordingly.

Dropped out due to fatigue from life after the first day but if the weather stays decent I’m giving it another go around the 6-9.

Made it 163 of 170 in just over 4 days and had to drop due to weather. Hoping to go again next year. Sorry for not updating until a couple weeks later

Going for the self supported womens FKT Tuesday. The trail has been rerouted in the hardscrabble and deadwater area to reduce time spent on roads and has been reduced by around 7 miles.
