Climb and descent of Monte Luco (about 800 m a. s. l.) starting from the junction for San Gusme  village. First part of the climb quite tough, second part more easier and marked by ups and downs. Breathtaking views surrounded by Chestnut forests and Chianti vineyards. Water source at the top of the Climb (a restaurant).

Description

This route is 6.6-mile loop trail near Gilead, Maine. Generally considered a moderately challenging route and is made from the Mud Brook Trail that takes you up the mountain and you return via Caribou Trail on the north side. This trail has beautiful views at the top of the summit and a very dense wilderness throughout. Please be prepared as portions of this trail are rocky. The typical method is to go anti-clockwise. Overall is a great trail running mountain and area.

Description

I've been dreaming of a mountain picnic up in the Adirondacks since I've heard of the Grand Teto picnic. I started searching around for picnics in our area on the East Coast and found none! So I dreamed up this route and put it all together. This route begins in Saranac Lake, New York. Right outside the Hotel Saranac on Berkeley Green is the Saranac Lake 6er bell. Begin your ride at that point and follow the route all the way to the ADK Heart Loj which sits right next to Heart Lake.
