Description

it is a 21 km loop in the ZEC des Martres. This route is very popular amongst hikers and runners for day trips or an overnighter. Mont des Morios is one of the most known mountain in the area and is very popular amongst hikers and runners for day trips or an overnighter. The suggested route here makes the ascent through the expert route, which could almost be considered as scrambling, then along the ridge before going back down in the forest through the " secteur des chutes" along a beautiful river and several waterfalls.

Description

The trail to the Easton Glacier (the main variation listed) begins at the Park Butte trailhead (3,360 ft) and winds through a well maintained forested trail before gaining the subalpine railroad grade ridge to Sandy Camp.  From there the route ascends through a mixture of rocks and snow before reaching the glacier.  The upper 1/3 of this route navigates cravasses and snow slopes of the Easton Glacier.  The final push to the summit plateau ascends the Roman Wall.
