Evan's Notch Loop (NH, ME)

Submitted by Scott Eugley on Tue, 07/12/2022 - 10:53am
Description

The Evan's Notch Loop is located in the White Mountains on the border of Maine and New Hampshire, and summits 8 of the prominent peaks straddling the notch. It is recommended that the route be done clockwise to avoid having to climb down the big slabs of South Baldface. In the order of doing this clockwise, you will hit the summits of South Baldface, North Baldface, Eagle Crag, Meader, West Royce, and East Royce. You will then descend down into the notch, cross it, then continue up the other side of the notch to Speckled Mountain, and finally to Blueberry Mountain.
