The Roaring Brook Trail is the longest trail located in Fahnestock State Park. The northern section of the trail goes through the Martin Hugh McGuire Hemlock-Northern Hardwood Area, a protected stand of forest that is important habitat for migrating song birds and is part of the New York Birding Trail. The Roaring Brook Trail passes through extensive swaths of mountain laurel, an evergreen shrub that blooms with pinkish white flowers in late May and June.

Gerald Quitugua's Mariana's 100 is Guam's first perimeter run and 100 mile ultra marathon that goes through the entire perimeter of Guam as well as through the middle of the island. This run is unique in that the Perimeter run has never been ran before. It starts and ends in Hagatna. The route must start from Hagatna and go directly south. After the southern loop of the Guam run, you proceed to the north. The end finishes with 4 laps in the Paseo park in Hagatna
