This route is not too far out and not difficult, but I'd like to submit it for a possible FKT. It is 5 miles into the top of Grizzly Peak in the Jefferson Wilderness Area, off of Highway 22, in Oregon (near Marion Fork and Idanha and Detroit Lake). The route is rocky for the first 2.5 miles and then it is up from Pamelia Lake to the top of the peak. It is not a difficult trail, but the uphill is steady. The view at the top of Mt. Jefferson is amazing.

Description

The Tabeguache (pronounced TAB-a-watch) Trail is the third leg of the Grand Loop (with the Kokopelli trail and the Paradox Trail form the rest of the triangle.) The trail begins at the Shavano Valley aka Dry Creek Trailhead just outside Montrose CO and weaves through the canyons, mesas, and highlands of the Uncompahgre Plateau before ending in No Thoroughfare Canyon, a few miles west of Grand Junction at the Lunch Loop Trailhead. It runs 148 miles, climbing over 19,000 feet and descending over 20,000.
