This route can start anywhere on the main loop road on Anegada. I started at Sid’s Restaurant at Pamato Point.  I choose this sign as my start and finish area as I think Pamato Point beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and if you can a swim post FKT would be amazing. I went clockwise as I wanted to hit the dirt roads earlier in the run and be on pavement for the last few miles.  I started just before sunrise and Inwould recommend that as it gets hot.

The Mount Jefferson Wilderness is a long wilderness area stretching along almost 30 miles of the cascade crest, and encompassing a large portion of the state’s second-highest peak, 10,493 foot Mount Jefferson. Most of this area has burned in the last 25 years, and is in various stages of returning to forest, but one particular valley immediately west of Mount Jefferson hasn’t seen fire in hundreds of years. Because of this, a lush forest full of bouncing streams blankets the valley.

A journey east to west (or viceversa) in Galicia is like traveling through time and across multiple micro-worlds - rural to coastal, Roman to modern, forest to ocean. It’s immersive and soul-stirring.
