McConnells Mill State Park Traverse

Route Description

The McConnells Mill State Park Traverse is a point-to-point trail running route showcasing the park's rugged beauty along Slippery Rock Creek. The course follows a mix of technical singletrack, rocky ridgelines, steep hillside traverses, and scenic creekside trails before finishing on the opposite end of the park.

Route Description

This is a route that hits the high points of much of the classic DuPont State Forest trails. Beware these trails are multi-purpose, so expect to encounter mountain bikers, hikers, horseback riders, etc. along the way. There are some pretty sweet mountain views (specifically at the Airstrip) and some nice and solitary singletrack trails alongside creeks and lakes. Also plenty of wildlife including deer, foxes, and the occasional black bear. Very nice Visitor Center marks the start/finish point.

This is a beautiful and common acclimitization hike out of Khare Nepal, with fantastic views of Mera Peak. It is a good "engine check" before climbing Mera itself, or a good detour on the way up. It is a short climb and can be done by following the ridgeline from just below the helipad, near where the pipe/cable for town crosses the bottom of the hill. Follow the trail along the ridgeline all the way up past the big flagpole (false summit) to the true flat plateau summit at around 5180m where there are a whole bunch of cairns and flags.

A route connecting the 8 highest and most characteristic hills in and around Poznań, based on the official "Crown of Poznań" list. The route starts at the Radojewo Palace and finishes at the gate next to the Freedom Mound. It includes Kokoryczowe Hill, Mount Morasko, the hill in the Marcelin Forest, the Peace and Friendship Bell at the Citadel, St. Adalbert's Hill, Przemysł Hill, the Freedom Mound, and the optional Berlin Hill, which is included in selected classifications. The route consists mostly of asphalt and pavements, intertwined with occasional forest and park segments.
