Cub Creek Trail (CO)

Description

This is the direct route into, and through, Mt Evans wilderness. A challenging route with two ascents from 8k to 10.5k and again 9k to 11.5k. The Cub Creek Trail starts at Cub Creek CG and heads west.  The west end is at a remote trail junction, so it makes sense to run this as an out & back or as part of a larger loop.

Description

This route links two popular trails in the greater Oslo area into one challenging route with gnarly trails, beautiful scenery, and lots of elevation changes. The Lysaker River is a trail runners paradise with trail options on both side of the river, although many sections on the Oslo (east) side of the river require leaving the dirt to run through neighborhoods before picking up dirt again. The Lysaker trails are used in some local races such as the Oslo EcoTrail 50k.
