Description

The Solitary Islands Coastal Walk links a string of idyllic golden beaches, rocky headlands and lush rainforest along the Coffs Coast.

The Route starts from Red Rock and finishes at Bonville Headland in Sawtell traversing some of Australia most picturesque beaches and is signposted by Lighthouses posts.

Where difference between the GPX file and signposts are, the signposts are correct. There are a number of small creek crossings at Woolgoolga, Moonee and Park Beach that vary in depth according to the tide. Lots of water and supplies available on route.

Description

Following the ancient wandering trails of Australia’s coastal emus, this colossal signposted track traverses the coastline from Angourie to Red Rock. The scenery and views along the way are diverse and astounding. You’ll encounter wildlife and wildflowers as you run past heathland plains, long sandy beaches, tranquil creeks, lagoons, rocky headlands and even a marine park, it’s unlikely you’ll ever forget it.

There are multiple river crossings on route. Highly recommend timing it with the tides.

Within the mountainous Northern Tablelands, high above Clarence River Valley, a very special track links Gibraltar Range and Washpool National Parks. Gibraltar-Washpool World Heritage walk passes through dramatic and ever-changing natural environments with numerous side track options for further exploration.

Dry eucalypt forests, set amidst ridges and granite tors, are surrounded by sub-alpine swamp. Lush rainforests hold the largest tract of coachwood trees in the world. Waterfalls plummet from a lacework of streams and wild rivers.
