Description

This route circumnavigates all of Mt. Greylock, hitting what I believe to be the most important waypoints along the way.  An ascent of the mountain, followed by a big loop to the north and to the west, a second summit, then a second loop back to the west and to the south  Three major climbs and almost 8000 total feet of gain.

The route begins and ends at the Greylock Glen in Adams, MA.

Trails taken include:

Description

Mixed used, well marked, and scenic loop around Yacolt Burn State Forest in SW Washington. The loop features many creeks, lots of new regrowth, forest roads, scenic views of Mt. St. Helens just a few dozen miles away and steady elevation gains. While the route isn't super technical, it has a very wide mix of terrain with worn mt bike single track, gravel, open fields, rocky forest paths, and well-maintained bridges. It's worth a day's run and hike.

Description

The route is a very scenic enchainment of narrow ridges & peaks in the Venedigergruppe / Osttirol / Austria. It starts from the Sajat-hut at 2600m high above Prägraten in the beautiful Virgen valley, with a steep via ferrata D/E followed by mixed terrain in terms of scrambling till UIAA II & easier ferrata parts up till C. You will encounter seven peaks including 3 above 3000m as well as breathtaking views, including the glaciers around Großvenediger – all being part of National Park “Hohe Tauern”.
