Description

Out and back on the full Mt. Tom Trail (white blaze). Park at the Appie Crossing lot, which is also where the Arcadia Trail (yellow blaze) starts. The Mt. Tom Trail (follow white blaze only) splits off to the right just after two small stream crossings. You wind along pine-needle single track and cross a few dirt roads as well as the Wood River (excellent place to cool off) before heading up and over the burly part of Mt. Tom, which is very technical compared to the rest of this route. There are some decent (for RI) views along the Mt. Tom ridge line. Follow the white blazes across rt.
