Description

The blue trail at Collis P Huntington State Park has a wide trail with challenging rocky terrain. It is the longest marked trail. The 1,017-acre park spreads across carefully preserved open fields and dense woodlands and features five ponds, a lagoon, 15-acre Lake Hopewell, and ten miles of trails, including the Aspectuck Valley Trail which leads to the Centennial Watershed State Forest. You can access the Blue Trail from any of the four parking lots. I did my loop clockwise and parked at the very end of Old Dodgington Road.

Description

The route runs through the Notecka Forest. It is one of the largest forests in Poland. The forest areas are mainly covered with pine forests. Wolves, a pond turtle and a pit viper live in the forest. There are dunes in the forest that reach a relative height of about 40 meters. The route runs, among others, through Klempicz, where the construction of the "Warta" nuclear power plant was planned in 1987–1989.
