Purple Rainbow (WA)
The Purple Rainbow climbs to alpine terrain, crossing over sub-alpine passes. It also descends to the open pine forests and arid Eastern slopes. Thick forests, plunging rivers, rocky passes, expansive lakes and challenging climbs (and crushing descents) are all included!
For supported efforts, Stehekin, provides a respite in terms of food and/or lodging for those that want to complete the route in multi days or getting supplies along the way.
Route:
Start: Bridge Creek TH Hwy 20
End: Bridge Creek TH Hwy 20
Grave's Creek (WA)
This route is about 59 miles and has three big climbs and about 15,000ft of elevation gain. It is a great mix of everything that makes the Olympics so amazing, big trees, dense forest, steep trails, river valleys, high open ridges, fun single track, and good odds of seeing bear, elk and other animals. This is a remote route with no road crossings and very few people. There are creek and river fords that have possibility of being dangerous at high water, there are a few sections like Graves Creek, Sundown Lake and Six Ridge Trails that get little use and even less maintenance.
Mount Aix to Nelson Ridge Lollipop (WA)
The Mount Aix/Nelson Ridge Lollipop Route was designed by John T. Barrickman.

“The Mount Aix trail leads to a lofty world above the tree line, with views in all directions, and access to other trails for wandering in the open. On a clear day, you can see Mount Adams, Mount St. Helens, the Goat Rocks, Mount Rainier, and the Stuart Range, just to mention the more identifiable peaks.

The Snowdonia Way is a long-distance walking trail over the full length of the Snowdonia National Park, from Machynlleth in the South to Conwy in the North, between the two great rivers that mark the southern and eastern edges of the region, the Dyfi and the Conwy. There are two variants, offering a lower and a high-level option. The main route is primarily low level, while this is the mountain option.
