The Home Valley Circular Walk is listed on the Long Distance Walkers Association website as follows:

"A walk along the heights around the Holme Valley, it takes in Castle Hill, the villages of Farnley Tyas, Thurstonland, Hepworth, Netherthong and Honley. There is a variety of scenery including many viewpoints." In particular the views of and from Castle Hill are spectacular. For much of the route you can see Emley Moor Transmitting Station (known locally as Emley mast), which is one of the tallest free-standing structures in Europe.
