Editor's note: it was brought to our attention that the GPX file here does not match the 'official' route as described on the National Trust website. The GPX has now been updated. Previous FKTs were set on the longer route. Any FKT submitted after 23rd August 2021 must follow the official route, now depicted on the GPX on this page. Athletes must visit the trig at Twyn Mwyalchod (642m) as part of the Graig Fan Ddu ridge but are no longer required to summit Fan y Big.

Took a stab at this route today and hope to have the FKT (for now) pending approval. I think the updated route and GPX will lead to some fast times, certainly a sub 80mins, hopefully a sub 70, and I am pretty curious to see if there could be a sub 60 too. That would be amazing to see! Great route and glad this is on here for the community to enjoy - thanks for adding it, Josh.
I plan to try this route tomorrow (Wednesday 13th October 2021).
Does anyone know if the current GPX is the correct one?!
