Osnabrücker Ringweg

Den Wanderweg rund um die Stadt gibt es bereits seit Jahrzehnten. Bei seiner Einrichtung hatte er eine Länge von ca. 35 km und führte durch Gebiete, die heute mit Wohnhäusern und Industrieanlagen zugebaut sind.

Weil jedoch niemand durch Siedlungen und an Industrieanlagen vorbei wandern möchte, musste der Weg mit der Stadt wachsen. Von Zeit zu Zeit wurde die Wegführung so geändert, dass der Weg weiter durch die grünen Gegenden der Stadt führt. So ist seine Länge inzwischen auf 68 km angewachsen.

This out-and-back trail is open year-round and is a showcase of the beautiful trails in middle Tennessee. The trail follows the shore of Percy Priest Lake for most of the route, and there are frequent views of the water. It is the longest trail at Long Hunter State Park. The Volunteer Trail and the Day Loop have their own parking lot and a clear distinction of where the trailhead begins. The Volunteer Trail leads to a pair of primitive backcountry camping sites, which is the turnaround point.
