Description

Taking on the extent of the Kent Thames Path that runs from outside Dartford to All Hallows and the London Stone marking the end of the jurisdiction of the City of London.

En route you will see dramatic engineering, such as the Dartford bridge and a footpath that leaps over a chasm, quirky objects, such as an abacus in a scrapyard wall and a home made war memorial, historic buildings and wild open spaces. Almost always you will be accompanied by the mighty Thames at its most majestic and awesome.

The “Borghi e Colline” Trail is a circular hiking route connecting Bagno a Ripoli, Grassina, and Antella, crossing a wide and diverse territory between Florence, the Chianti hills, and the Valdarno. The itinerary has an official length of 52.5 km with approximately 2,000 meters of positive elevation gain (slightly less according to a track recorded with a Garmin Fenix 6X Pro). The route alternates single-track paths, forest roads, and short stretches of asphalt, reflecting the historical and rural nature of the area it crosses.

Description

Illinois Mountain is located in Highland, NY near the Mid-Hudson Bridge, and is visible far and wide due to the large radio tower on the top. Trails are accessible from Berean Park, where there is a parking lot and small beach. There are five single-track MTB-trails: red, white, blue, yellow, and green, some of which are connected only via the gated access road that goes up to the towers (not all of the road is open to the public). The land is owned by the Town of Lloyd and Scenic Hudson, and maintained by volunteers from the Fats in the Cats mountain bike club and community members.
