This route offers challenging terrain and exceptional views of Petersburg, Frederick Sound, and the Devil’s Thumb peak. The route beginning is marked by a trailhead sign just across from the Sandy Beach Park lot. The route end is the Forest Service cabin, although the trail system does continue on past this point.
