Description

The East Coast Greenway is a ~3000-mile bicycle route that traverses the length of the US East Coast, from Maine to Florida and passing through many other states. It is still "in progress" as there are still some sections where the route follows roads. 35% of the trail is complete - that is, protected, off-road greenway. A full map of the Greenway can be found here: East Coast Greenway Map

Highland A-B-C-D (MI)

Submitted by Bastien Beaubien on Fri, 04/08/2022 - 09:01am
Description

The Highland A-B-C-D trail is a singletrack loop in Highland Recreation Area. It starts and finishes across the road from the parking lot. The trail is popular for technical mountain biking and was specifically designed not to be raceable. The trail is clearly marked with signposts that include maps. There are also distance markers every half mile or so. This trail is generally busier in the summer and the fall for mountain bikers, who are often out around sunset. At the trailhead, there is access to a bathroom but no water is available. Be prepared for a lot of climbing.

Lone Pine Peak (Full Northeast + North Ridge 5.6)

Submitted by Travis.Soares on Thu, 04/07/2022 - 11:39am
Description

This route is an ultra classic linkup of the north east and north ridge of Lone Pine Peak. Either ridge by itself is usually a full day for most climbers, so the linkup makes for an epic adventure! The ridges both begin at the valley floor within a short distance of one another and rise perfectly to the summit of Lone Pine. The loop is as aesthetic as a ridgeline can get!
