Description

The Crab & Winkle Way takes its name from the railway line that once ran between the city of Canterbury and Whitstable, a seaside town. The Crab & Winkle Line, which the path follows closely, is claimed to be the world's first passenger railway and some features, such as a winding pond and the world's first railway tunnel, can be seen from the path.

Description

10k Loop.  If run counter-clockwise starts out with switchback style elevation gains then tapering to a gradual downhill. A well-maintained trail that is easy to navigate. Great trailhead and trail markings, no water is available along the route but there is a nice permanent out-house style restroom located there. The trail offers amazing views along the way in the heart of Montana public lands.
