Empire State Trail from Manhattan Battery park to City of Buffalo. Trail runs north to Albany and then heads west toward Buffalo passing Utica, Syracuse, and Rochester. Three major trails combine to make the Empire State trail. Erie canalway trail from Buffalo to Albany, the Hudson Valley Greenway trail, & the Champlain valley trail.

Another spur of the EST connects Albany with Champlain to the north, so that the complete trail system is 750 miles.
