The route starts on the "north pole" of HKSAR and ends on the "south pole".   The starting and ending point can be reversed.  The north starting point is on the border with China.  Here one can marvel at the contrast of grassy hill and high rise development.  In the 1960s the whole area is rural.  HK built fences and barriers to prevent migrants from crossing from China into HK.  China, following the institution of the policy of "reform and opening-up" in 1979, Shenzhen was quickly transformed into a mega cit

Description

This is the entire length of the East Lothian Coast from Musselburgh, on the outskirts of the country capital Edinburgh, to the Scottish Borders in Cockburnspath.  The route takes in the final 60km of the official John Muir Way and then joins the Join Muir link route to the Scottish Borders.  A mix of road and trail (10%,90%) and a total ascent and descent of roughly 500m the route is not too challenging and is open to some very fast running.
