Alpine Lakes Loop (WA)

Description

This loop is a Seattle-area classic, circumnavigating Granite Mountain in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, just to the north of I-90 at exit 47. The trail links Melakwa Lake, Lower Tuscohatchie Lake, and Pratt Lake between the Denny Creek and Pratt Lake/Granite Mountain trailheads. The route is approximately 16.5 miles as a complete loop connecting the trailheads by road (3.5 mi on the road).

Starts at the locked gate at Kanangra-Boyd National Park and official finish for K2K FKT is Katoomba Station 52.5km (Hikers attempting 'K2K in a day' finish at the locked gate at Narrow Neck which is 48km)

La Bohn Traverse (WA)

Description

The La Bohn Traverse is a point to point route with the Southern terminus at Commonwealth Basin Trailhead on the PCT at Snoqualmie Pass and a Northern terminus at Necklace Valley Trailhead off of Hwy 2 in Skykomish. The route was designed by Arya Jonathan Farahani as part of the UltraPedestrian Wilderness Challenge. Traveling southbound, the route starts at Necklace Valley Trailhead to East Fork Foss River and then to Opal Lake via Necklace Valley Trail #1062.

Description

The Southern Upland Way is Britain’s first official coast to coast long distance footpath. It runs 214 miles (344 km) from Portpatrick on the south west coast of Scotland to Cockburnspath on the eastern seaboard. It offers superb and varied walking country, still undiscovered by many enthusiasts.
