John Bunyan Trail (United Kingdom)

Submitted by Tim Mills on Sat, 05/30/2020 - 12:47pm
Description

86 miles Sundon Hills Country Park to Sundon Hills Country Park (circular). This Trail takes you through the quiet leafy recesses of Bedfordshire; an unassuming county that was home to Puritan Evangelist John Bunyan – author of ‘Pilgrim’s Progress’ – to whose memory this Trail is dedicated. Before being incarcerated for his religious beliefs and writing his masterwork from prison, Bunyan worked as a tinker, and so he would have travelled many of the paths in the Trail as he plied his trade across the county.
