Description

This is an iconic run from the northside of downtown San Antonio to the southside. It features landmarks such as Trinity University, Brackenridge Park, the Pearl Brewery, Downtown SA, and the Southern Reach of the Riverwalk including the Blue Star Brewery and the surrounding arts complex.

It's a challenging run but doable early on a Saturday or Sunday Morning due to crowding downtown or on the river. The better you chose the time, the faster you can make progress along this course.

Description

Just over 8 miles in a loop near the Missouri river. 50% slick mud, and 50% nice silty single track. The trail meanders through small ravines, always with a gentle incline or decline. Pretty straightforward to follow. Popular hike due to the proximity to the city, as well as the nice views of the river.

Snow is present until march at the top.

The trail up is quite steep but always in the shadow of the trees almost until the summit where vegetation opens leaving a beatiful landscape and panorama.

Suggested in spring.
