Classic Route 66 west to east crossing of Missouri that starts at the Kansas-Missouri border near Galena and ends at the Chain of Rocks Bridge in North St. Louis.

The Norwalk River Valley Trail will one day cover roughly 30 miles from Norwalk CT to Danbury CT and will also pass through Wilton, Ridgefield and Redding. WIlton has the most mileage completed so far and almost has a loop completed. I did the completed section in an out and back, starting on the sidewalk on route 7 across from Cannon Road.

This is an interesting paved/dirt road climb from Fern Prairie Market in Camas, WA (on the edge of the Portland Metro area) to the summit of Larch Mountain, which is the highest peak in Clark County, WA.  The run is just over 10 miles each way, making for a 20+-mile roundtrip.

Endless meadows, fields and forest edges, spiced up with unique natural jewels like the Rodder Maar or the Hohe Acht. The Eifelleiter, one of the ten most popular long-distance hiking trails in Germany, takes hikers on an extraordinary hiking adventure between the most diverse landscapes. From a pinch of Rhine romanticism, lonely Maar idylls, extinct volcanic cones and Mediterranean-like heathlands to the Hohe Acht, the highest mountain in the Eifel with a height of 747 m, there is indeed everything that the Rhine and Eifel have to offer.

The Montferland summit route is a long-distance hiking route (LAW) of a total of 32 kilometers that runs over 18 hills in Montferland.
