This is one of the best documented routes up Zugspitze (the highest mountain in Germany) and is a prime candidate for competition ascents because its the fastest way up to the summit. The route includes a run from Albsee (a nearby tourist attraction and famous lake with a hotel). The record holder will then need to ascend a via ferrata up to the alpine summit of Zugspitze and should reach the natural summit with the golden cross and not just make it to the platform with the gondola!

This route takes you from vineyards through Alpine pastures to ancient mountain villages, lonely mountain lakes, sweeping views and deep gorges.

The round tour, that usually takes 8 days, combines the most beautiful highlights of the Canton Vaud Alps.

Follows the bridle trail around Wyandotte County Lake, besides a variation where you climb the hill by the lake dam. The path has around 1500 feet of elevation with sharp hills over dirt and rock, with some flat, fast sections and some winding switchbacks. This route is special because it is the premier "Hard" trail route in the Kansas City area. 

This loop is a true crown jewel line in Glacier National Park: an aesthetic, high‑alpine ridge run that links two iconic summits with surprisingly clean and logical terrain. Starting from The Loop on Going to the Sun Road, the route climbs on trail to Swiftcurrent Lookout, then commits to the long northbound ridge (approx. 4 miles on-ridge) toward Iceberg Peak, staying on or near the ridge proper the entire way.

Anyone who drives across the Hudson River Valley on a clear day can’t help but notice Slide Mountain on the horizon.
