We discuss the highlights of the year so far, and note that unlike in previous years, there have been no major efforts on the AT, the PCT, or the JMT. Why is that?

The California 14ers were just done by a woman, it is somewhat uncommon for a woman to go solo on the technical routes; why is that?
Mt Williamson (14,375') is the second highest peak in California. The most common route is from the Shepherd Pass TH, about 50km round trip, with over 8000' of elevation gain. Including Tyndall adds about 2 miles and 1500' of elevation gain.
Run between the international airport and the city's most prominent building, Petronas Towers which were the tallest in the world from 1998-2004 and have become something of a Malaysian national symbol.
