Description

Description from Trail Run Project:

A loop that starts at Sugar Hollow and climbs up to the Appalachian Trail on Skyline Drive.
River crossings, swimming holes and plenty of climbing make this a great summer-time run.

Nine Mile Creek Regional Trail (MN)

Submitted by Buzz Burrell on Wed, 03/25/2020 - 05:22pm
Description

Unlike its name would suggest, Nine Mile Creek is actually 15 miles from its headwaters at Minnetog Lake to the Minnesota River. This regional trail was constructed to meander alongside the creek as it flows through the watershed communities of Hopkins, Minnetonka, Edina, Richfield and Bloomington. It’s a 10-foot wide asphalt trail that welcomes walkers, bikers and others using non-motorized transport to immerse themselves in the area’s diverse natural beauty, as well as connect with each other across neighborhoods and jurisdictions.

Episode 79: Pandemic: Personal reports from three athletes from around the world

Category
Highlight

Everyone is talking about it so we should as well.  But instead of more graphs of "How COVID-19 will spread", we will listen to authentic, personal reports from friends.  Europe - United States - New Zealand.  Each report is very different!  We can learn from each other.

"This is a global pandemic, and it supersedes everyone's personal goals"

Note: These conversations were recorded Monday afternoon, March 23, which is important to know as every situation changes every day.

Ingegerdsleden (Sweden)

Submitted by pbakwin on Tue, 03/24/2020 - 04:00pm
Description

Ingegerdsleden is a pilgrim trail documented by the Church of Sweden. The trail goes from the cathedral of Stockholm (Storkyrkan), right by the Royal Palace, in the Old Town to the catheral of Uppsala (domkyrkan). Whereas the shortest road between the two places is 72 km, the dwindling trail will measure between 125 and 135 km, depending on choice of route in some places where there are optinal routes available. The trail passes historical places, churches, ancient castles and rune stones on forrest trails, paved and un-paved foot paths and roads.
