Lenape Trail (NJ)

Description

Named in recognition of the Lenni-Lenape, the original inhabitants of this area, the Lenape Trail offers an easy escape to treasured green space including forested reservations, hilltop meadows, stunning overlooks, and rushing rivers. Along the way, those following the yellow blazes will find historic landmarks, community gardens, and three parks planned by Frederick Law Olmstead - the famed designer of New York City's Central Park.

Mont Buet (France)

Description

This route begins near Vallorcine, in the little town of Le Buet, next to the Hotel Skiroc chalet. It folows the main trail up to the Refuge de la Pierre à Bérard, first along the stream. Then, it takes the direction of Salenton pass to get through Table au Chantre. Finally, it goes up to the Abri de Pictet, before reaching Mont Buet (3096m) and goes back by the same route to Le Buet, where it starts.

Circum Saugatuck (CT)

Description

A 13-mile mostly trail route around the Saugatuck Reservoir in Weston, Redding, and Easton Connecticut. Loop starts at Bradley Lane parking lot in Weston, in the Trout Brook Valley Preserve, travels down Bradley Lane, up Valley Forge Road, to Davis Hill Road, to the Saugatuck Trail in the Centennial State Forest. Follow the trail (blue blazes) around the reservoir until it crosses an old forest road. Take a right, follow the road until you get to a cable across the road. This is the border between the Centennial State Forest and the Trout Brook Valley Preserve.
