Acatenango Volcano (Guatemala)
This is a very challenging route. Acatenango Volcano is the 3rd highest volcano in Central America (3976m above sea level) and certainly of the most difficult and technical.
The Ascent start at 2500m over the sea level so the altitude will certainly be involved along the adventure.
The first kilometers are VERY steep, the terrain is mostly gravel and loose dirt. After that, you will face a humid "forrest" (with many turns, a sinuous trails) and therefore, the trails become softer and muddy but always steep terrain (however, less steep that the previous section).
