North Downs Way - one of the UK's 15 National Trails

Near the eastern end there is a Northern Route through Canterbury, and a Southern Route (see track) through Folkestone. Or the 2 routes can be combined to create a loop (Full Route, see map).
Built on the surviving rail bed of the former Hamilton and Lake Erie Railway, this groomed rail trail runs for 24.3 km from north of the city of Caledonia to the lower city of Hamilton via the Chippewa Trail and the Escarpment Rail Trail. This route begins north of the Reserves of the Six Nations of the Grand River and the Mississaugas of the New Credit, and runs through the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe First Nations.
This 58 section of the Appalachian Trail, from Raven Rocks in WV to Pen Mar on the PA/MD border (or reverse), allows the rare opportunity to traverse 2 AT states in a day.
Peter Bakwin is the only person to do the Double Hardrock, the first person to go under 4 days on the John Muir Trail, plus many other races and FKTs, and is one of the co-founders of this website and podcast.
Pinnacle Mtn (1,011 feet) is the centerpiece of Pinnacle Mountain State Park, just west of Little Rock. The West Summit Trail, which has a Strava segment, winds it's way for about 0.7 miles up to the summit.
