Nayantaquit Trail (CT)

Description

With an easy parking area and laid back ( for New England) trail this 3.5 mile loop of the Nayantaquit Trail has one little viewpoint and a mixture of lush shady forest and rocky outcrops and boulders. There is a small swampy section in one part and this secluded patch of forest has a large amount of bird life. Bring your bug spray and this little amble round a secluded part of the Nehantic State Forest is well worth the trip. Keep your wits about you at the many path forks to stay on the main blue blazed path.
