Longs Peak (14,255'), in Rocky Mountain National Park, dominates the skyline in the northern Front Range area of Colorado. It has been a test piece for local athletes for decades, and there are many interesting & amazing FKTs on this magnificent peak!

The "South Beyond 6000" (SB6K) is a program of the Carolina Mountain Club and the Tennessee Eastman Hiking & Canoeing Club "to encourage hikers to climb the 40 peaks over 6000 feet in the Southern Appalachians" of North Carolina and Tennessee. Speed records have been established by linking all the peaks on foot.
